Research training is individually-tailored project, supervised by small team of specialists in the subject. Each of our research affiliated institutes has a large selection of research specialisms for which supervision is available- PMM Incubator, will introduce you to what they have to offer, and to the excellent resources available to you.

The distinguished feature of our research Training is that you undertake your own academic investigation while receiving advice, support and training in an environment of research-active staff and trainees. Your research project will involve reviewing present literature in the field, applying an appropriate methodology or theoretical framework to your investigation, and developing and articulating a clear model or research question. If you are PHD holder you will be progressing your project through increased contact with range of experts and participation in the public arena at national and international conferences.

An MPhil (Master of Philosophy) who comes through our research program would usually study over two years full –time and three years as part time. You are asked to produce a thesis which demonstrates your knowledge and ability to apply appropriate research methods in giving account to recent developments in a particular field.

A PhD (Doctor of Philosophy), on the other hand, involves a more complex and advanced project that makes a significant and original contribution in the field. The extended nature of such a project means that most trainees initially enroll as an (MPhil with transfer to PhD) lasts appropriately three years, part-time, typically five to six years.

Our Research Graduate Training Modules and Workshop

The graduate Trainee’s program is meant for incubators and innovators, before you can qualify for this research program you must have gone through all our taught courses and spent over one year with Pproffy Maximedia Incubator City. This program is responsible for a generic, advanced skills and methods module for all the research, trainees as innovators or creators (full and part time).

These modules may be supplemented by specialist modules as agreed between you, as a research trainee, and your supervisory team.

Opportunities are available for you as a research trainee to improve your English academic wiring skills, what is more, the graduate trainee runs workshops to assist and support researchers at keys stages of their research careers.

RESEARCH DEGREE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

For our trainees to be qualified for this, our normal entry is an upper second class honours degree or equivalent. Nonstandard qualifications are considered on an individual basis. For direct entry for this program an appropriate master degree is required.
