FACULTY OF COMUPING SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
The faculty has an enviable research programme that critically underpins our teaching. We research in some groundbreaking and innovative areas.
Within Computing Sciences and Engineering we pride ourselves on the continuous improvement of the learning environment for our professional trainees. The faculty brings together the latest ideals and techniques from our own leading edge research to inform out innovator teaching. We also provide some of the most up-to- date facilities of any of our competitors and ongoing collaboration with industry partner’s organizations to ensure our innovative programmes meet the needs of employers and international standard.
Innovative research is at the very core of teaching within the faculty, advising many of the programmes. The faculty is at the cutting edge of a diverse range of research areas including- Satellite remote Sensing, Artificial Intelligence and Computational Intelligence. Our intended research areas are some of the most striking technological and social developments of our time.
Without this kind of pioneering work technological discipline might become moribund and of little relevance to the real world. But the faculty is pushing the boundaries of what we know and how this impacts upon all of us in global sense. From your point of view, our research informs our teaching and means that our taught courses are set with a real life context.
If you aspire to become an expert in your field the PMMI can offer you a range of specialist research areas of international reputations.
We are continually exploring opportunities to work across disciplines including the biological and biomedical fields through to environment sustainability.
